Cartoon Style; Kazuo Hozumi

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: The pictorial history of the Ivy League look is a drawn one, and from the old Brooks catalogues and H.I.S ads to Mr Slowboy’s Instagram, menswear drawing continues to make it’s fanatics dream of the perfect taper, the ideal tweed and the impossibly perfect shoulder.

Trust Japan, however, to forego the impossible to attain visions of perfection and instead focus on what we can actually enjoy; fun! At the end of the day, we’re just playing dress up, and the illustrations of Kazuo Hozumi really know that.
